$25,000 Oldham County Business Plan Contest: Round 2 Underway!
When: November 14, 2011 – March, 2012
Why: The Oldham County Business Plan Contest is being held in hopes of finding the next big idea. Competing in the Contest will help Contestants improve skills necessary to create a business plan and may lead to valuable public and media exposure. Also, participants will gain access to potential investors, advisors and mentors through formal and informal channels.
Grant Award: The $25,000 grant money has been provided by private donors.
Partners: Winners will also receive up to 10 hours of consulting services from industry professionals: accounting, legal, technical etc. This is valued at approximately $5,000.
Mentors: Finalists to Round 3 will receive one-on-one mentoring from local, experienced entrepreneurs.
Media Partner: The Era, Oldham County’s Newspaper
Eligibility:
Contestants must be 18 years of age and plan to operate their business in Oldham County and make (at least) a two-year commitment to headquartering it here. Individuals must be able to show that the business or idea is of their original work and/or development.
Rounds:
Round 1 – Expired
Round 2 – Full Business Plan Submission, Deadline is February 6, 2018
Round 3 – Business Plan Presentation on March 7, 2012 (for Finalists only)
